The Humanitarian Business Cell of the National Resistance has completed the new Al-Majalia Water Project in Dhubab, Taiz Governorate, benefiting over a thousand local residents. This achievement was made possible with the support of Lieutenant General Tariq Saleh, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Head of the Political Office of the National Resistance.
The project includes an 8-kilometer pumping line, a 40-cubic-meter concrete tank, distribution pipelines and an internal network spanning 9 kilometers, along with the implementation of several additional services related to the operation and sustainability of the system.
Abdulqawi Al-Wajih, Director General of Dhubab Al-Mandab Directorate, stated that the project marks a qualitative leap in improving access to clean water in the area. It significantly eases the suffering of citizens who previously had to travel long distances to obtain water. He also expressed appreciation for the ongoing humanitarian efforts made by the Humanitarian Business Cell across various districts of the western coast.
Sheikh Rashed bin Rashed Al-Subaihi, the local leader, expressed the gratitude of Al-Majalia’s residents for the efforts made by Lieutenant General Tariq Saleh in implementing the project. He emphasized that access to water is one of the most critical basic needs affecting citizens' daily lives, particularly given the exceptional circumstances the country is facing.
The new Al-Majalia project represents a significant addition to the service infrastructure in Dhubab Al-Mandab Directorate. It reflects ongoing efforts to improve essential services and strengthen community stability in liberated areas, especially in rural and remote regions.
