In its fifth year, the Humanitarian Action Cell implemented a series of service and relief projects during Ramadan 2025, aiming to support needy families and strengthen the spirit of social solidarity.
As part of the food basket project, the Humanitarian Action Cell provided 50,000 food baskets distributed via convoys to the governorates of Taiz, Marib, Al-Jawf, Al-Bayda, as well as districts in Al-Hodeidah Governorate and the western coast.
In the Iftar for Fasting project, the Cell distributed 150,000 meals throughout Ramadan, averaging 5,000 families daily in the governorates of Taiz, Al-Hodeidah, and the western coast.
Additionally, 12,000 families benefited from the dates project, while children from 35,000 families received Eid clothing through the Eid Clothing project in Taiz and the western coast.
The Cell also contributed to the debt repayment project for indigent prisoners by settling debts of several detainees in Taiz Governorate to secure their release. Additionally, the Cell implemented a water project by constructing a fully equipped well in the “Yakhtul Al-Baqriya” area of Al-Mokha District.
On the spiritual side, the Cell honored 300 male and female Quran memorizers from various districts of the western coast, alongside its participation in sponsoring and organizing communal iftar events in Taiz Governorate.
These projects were carried out under the personal patronage of Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, and with support from the Emirates Red Crescent. These annual humanitarian programs build on the ongoing efforts of the Humanitarian Action Cell to alleviate citizens’ suffering and enhance humanitarian support initiatives across various targeted areas.
