The Humanitarian Operations Cell carried out an urgent field response to assess the flood damage in Al-Hodeidah Governorate and provided emergency shelter materials.

In implementation of the directives of Brigadier General Tareq Saleh, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Humanitarian Operations Cell conducted an urgent field visit on Saturday to assess the impact of the floods that struck the districts of Al-Khokha and Hays in Al-Hodeidah Governorate. The emergency field mission included the distribution of shelter materials to displaced families in Al-Jasha camp in Al-Khokha District, as well as water drainage operations following the damage caused by the recent low-pressure system.
The Humanitarian Operations Cell also conducted a comprehensive damage assessment and a general evaluation of the needs of the affected individuals, based on which a targeted intervention plan will be developed.
